A groups of BHS junior girls attended the Limestone University Women in Technology and Science event yesterday and were able to participate in hands-on science actions. They heard an amazing guest speaker: Joan Higginbotham, a retired NASA astronaut, who flew aboard Space Shuttle Discover to become the 3rd African American woman to travel into space. She now has her own aerospace consulting firm, Joan Higginbotham Ad Astra LLC. Thank you, Limestone for hosting this annual event!
