BHS Prom Bash. Our junior and senior classes enjoyed a full day of learning about remaining sober and about having safe fun. Our day began in the auditorium with speakers Corporal Gary Miller from the SC Highway Patrol, Sheriff Steve Mueller, and Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler. Our special guest speaker was Mrs. Mary Parks, a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). This Woodruff mother of four sons shared her son Brandon's tragic story, urging students to have safe and sober fun and avoid drugs and alcohol. Students then headed to the gym for fun, games, inflatables, music, snacks, and a grilled lunch. Students who signed the pledge were entered into a drawing for wonderfully generous prizes donated by our school, community, and local businesses. Some of the prizes included three flat-screen televisions, an Apple Watch, Apple Air Pods, Beats, an HP laptop, a PlayStation IV, gift cards, and cash! Thank you all for your support! We love our Wildcats - and we are thankful they know our community does, too!
