Cherokee County School District is thrilled to present Cherokee Connects, our annual professional learning event for all district employees. This event, scheduled for Monday, August 5, 2024 (7:15 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.) at both Blacksburg Middle and High Schools, is not just a significant opportunity for our teachers and staff to enhance their skills but also a chance for the entire community to contribute to the upcoming school year.
Educational Workshops: Engaging sessions on cutting-edge teaching methodologies and tools.
Networking Opportunities: Connect with like-minded educators and leaders in the field.
Keynote Speakers: Inspirational talks from prominent figures in education.
Food Trucks: 10 Food truck vendors from Blacksburg, Gaffney, and North Carolina.
Boothes: professional membership organization opportunities with PSTA, SCEA, and SCIRA
Over 1000 district employees and over 40 guest lectures will convene in the Blacksburg community, making this a significant and large-scale event to support education. During this event, 10 food trucks, multiple education leaders, and solution partners from areas as far north as New Jersey and from several regions of South Carolina. You will also notice a high traffic pattern and security presence around both campuses.
