Please join us for our Meet the Wildcats: Spring sports kick off, as we welcome and exciting spring sports season at Blacksburg High School and Blacksburg Middle School. Your attendance at "meet the wildcats" is undoubtedly the single most important thing that you as parents can do to support your son and daughter. During this time, we plan to introduce our student-athletes, coaches, trainers, and athletic department staff. Throughout the night, you will hear first-hand about team rules, academic policies, sportsmanship expectations, and important health and safety guidelines. Attendance at this meeting is highly encouraged for parents of students who plan to participate in our athletic program. Coaches and other school support staff will be available to answer questions regarding specific programs. Please don't miss this very important evening. Mark your calendars and plan to attend! A very competitive season for our Lady Wildcats! They were able to clinch a share of the region title which gives them their fourth region crown in a row. Playoffs start Wednesday against Ninety-six at home. It’s been an incredible journey for these seniors. Come out and support these ladies as they potentially play their last home game of their careers.
Making Education Fit. The BHS counseling department is giving parents the opportunity to schedule their child's Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) meeting in person, through email, or by telephone between February 20 - March 28, 2024. January student athlete of the month, Jacob Gilfillan. "Jacob Gilfillan is a three-year varsity basketball player. He is leading the Varsity Boys' Basketball team in scoring this month with an average of 16 points per game, grabbing 4.5 rebounds. Jake's lenght on defense deflects many passes and limits the vision of the opposition. He has the responsibility to help guard the opposing team best players.
