In order to meet the health care needs of your child, we strongly encourage parents to call the school nurse whenever:

• Your child is diagnosed with a new medical condition

• Any change in health condition related to an existing medical condition

• Newly prescribed medication and/or changes in current medications

• Serious injury, illness or hospitalization

• Your child is diagnosed with a contagious/infectious disease

• Any significant recent changes in home environment that may affect your child at school

• You have questions about your child’s care during school hours
