Welcome to Secondary Education
Our goal is to assist the Executive Director of Academics and building level administrators with the planning, development, and evaluation of the program of instruction in grades nine through twelve.
Areas of Responsibility
Curriculum:
Assisting principals and teachers with instructional problems in grades nine through twelve.
Assessing and interpreting the present curriculum and proposed curricular changes for the administration, the staff and the general public for grades nine through twelve.
Directing the creation of and editing for publication curriculum guides to be utilized by teachers in grades nine through twelve.
Coordinating the implementation of the policies and regulations related to secondary education.
Coordinating textbook selection and adoption committees for grades nine through twelve.
Working with principals in order to affect horizontal and vertical continuity and articulation of the instructional program in grades nine through twelve.
Assisting with planning and coordination of the district staff development program.
Articulating and facilitating implementation of state standards and frameworks.
Facilitate EEDA/Work Based Learning initiatives to support high school programs.
Collaborating with the Elementary and Middle Coordinator to facilitate transition from elementary to middle school and middle to high school.
Serving as District Planning Facilitator to coordinate the development and implementation of the district's Strategic Plan/Accountability System.
Coordinating the district summer school program for high schools.

Assisting with the coordination and implementation of the district testing program in grades nine through twelve.
Assisting with the evaluation of teachers (ADEPT)
