In light of the potential impact from Tropical Storm / Hurricane Helene, we are taking proactive measures to prioritize the safety of our students and staff. As a result, Cherokee County will transition to eLearning for Friday, September 27. Depending on the grade-level, teachers will communicate with parents and/or students regarding any assignments that should be completed.
As of now, Thursday is a regular school day except that all after-school activities and programs are cancelled.
The National Weather Service is forecasting high winds, flooding, and severe weather conditions for our area on Thursday evening. As a reminder, SC Bus Safety Regulations restrict the operation of school buses if sustained winds reach 30 mph or gusts of 40 mph.
If the forecast changes that may impact the school day on Thursday, we will communicate that as early as possible. Thank you for your understanding as safety is always our top priority.
